Dr. Bowers is also actively involved in WeCare Jacksonville, a charitable organization in the Jacksonville area. He is an active member of various oncology organizations including Society Surgical Oncologist, American Society Clinical Oncologists as well as FLASCO and the American Society Breast Surgeons. He also serves on the City of Jacksonville Environmental Protection Board.
